I design systems that carry the cognitive burden so people can focus on what matters most.
I diagnose problems at their root, establish frameworks that reshape how organizations work, and build teams that deliver at scale.
The work
2015 — Legacy

How I work
My approach to design, leadership, and influence
I influence decisions with evidence, not opinion.
When a solution isn't right for users, I say so and I come prepared with the research to prove it. I've changed executive minds and redirected entire initiatives by making the data impossible to ignore. My job isn't to make stakeholders comfortable, it's to make sure we're solving the right problem.
I operate across every layer.
Clinical workflows, engineering constraints, regulatory requirements, executive strategy. I move between all of them without losing the thread. In domains where most designers go deep in one direction, I hold the full picture and use it to build alignment that actually sticks.
I hold the map.
I carry an unusually wide breadth of both domain knowledge and organizational context: clinical workflows, design decisions, product history, people, and problems in flight simultaneously. Teams come to me first because I connect dots that others don't know are related. That capacity makes the people and organizations around me faster and sharper.
What people are saying
Perspectives from team members and partners
“She killed our favorite feature idea with research findings, then designed something better that actually solved the user problem we didn’t know we had.”
Director of Product Management
“Your ability to remain aware of what so many designers across the company are doing, awareness across so many domains and user personas, and then to also lead designs of your own is kind of mind-blowing.”
Product Manager
“Micah doesn’t just accept requirements—she interrogates them with data until we're solving the real problem, not symptoms.”
Product Manager
“…cross-functional partners light up when they know Micah is involved in any given project.”
Team Member
“Her tenacity, clarity, and ability to dive into complex problems—whether related to product, process, or people—make her an invaluable leader.”
Team Member
“Based off this experience, she helped innovate an ambient workflow to help assist and automate aspects of the intake process which has received very positive feedback and generated excitement from customers.”
